These are the perfect dessert on a summer evening after having steak and corn on the barbeque. These are easy to make and don’t involve setting your siblings’ hair on fire with flaming marshmallows hanging off the end of a stick… although that is really a right of passage.

This recipe is simple but perfect. If you are craving chocolate (or just need a pick-me-up), whip these up and eat them right from the pan. Or cut them up and share them with someone you love…if you can keep yourself from eating the entire pan yourself!
These wings should really be called “left” or “right” wings because they go perfectly with a good hockey game. Gather friends, beer and wings in one spot and allow to mingle – I promise the outcome will be delicious.
This cake is sweet but not cloyingly so. It’s great as a dessert, as a decadent breakfast or as an afternoon snack when your blood sugar is a little low.
This could also be made as one large nine-inch tart, but I like it better in single serving size.
This is a slightly sweet chili that fills you up without completely weighing you down. A lime margarita or just lime juice with mint would go nicely with it to break through the heat.

I like to make these pancakes small – maybe 2″ in diameter; they’re more like a snacking cake than something you pile up on your plate and sit down to eat. You can eat them spread with maple butter, creamed honey or just butter. Even by themselves they’re delicious!

This cake makes me feel as though it is still somehow summer. I stood at the window with the light streaming into my kitchen and the smell of rich blueberries and cinnamon tempting my senses. And it’s delicious. Trust me.
I am always on the look-out for finger foods for parties and dinners. I love the idea of a meal that consists solely of appetizers. These would be great with a Thai themed meal, with spring rolls and tiny bowls of noodles and maybe some fish cakes.
The pairing of salty warmed goat cheese, savory roasted garlic, slightly sweet and slightly tangy cranberry chutney and sweet caramelized onions together just makes every bite stand up and stand out.
